St. Louis University

We had fun eating and hanging out at Jon's school for the day. They had a picnic scheduled for all the students and families, but it decided to rain so they took the picnic inside. Jon showed us around and even gave Kylea a cleaning in his chair. My favorite part was seeing the "Dr. Rucker" plaque at his station! We're so proud of you babe! :)

Love this little guy!

I can't believe how big our baby Kade is getting already. He is the happiest little baby I know and we love him to pieces. He is always smiling...I mean, always. When I get up to change his diaper in the middle of the night, he is wide awake with the biggest smile on his face. He definitely makes waking up during the night a lot easier...I just can't resist that cute little face. Kade is a good baby, but we're still waiting for him to give us some more sleep at night...well, I should say I'm waiting because Jon sleeps right through the cries now. They must be hard to hear over his super loud snoring (that's another story;). Kade wakes up every 2-3 hours at night and takes 2-3 good naps during the day. He loves kicking, sucking on everything, cooing, playing patty cake and peek-a-boo, and of course playing with his big sis too. Kylea is loving him more and more each day and is always making sure that he is safe. She constantly reminds everyone that they can't get close to his face cause he's fragile. :) I love to see them interact with each other. They are so cute together!

Kylea: "We're just cribbing around."

This pic is so funny! Kylea: "Look Mommy. Kade is a girl, haha!"

Silly Ea!

This girl is always putting a smile on my face!

Ea: "I'm 5! I'm 5!"
Lis: "You're silly. No you're not. You're 3."
Ea: "I want to be 5."
Lis: "Why?"
Ea: "Because I want to use the pink scissors. I looked on the back and it said 5 so I want to be 5 so I can use them."

Ea: "Mommy, can you buy bricks and sticks and some hay?"
Lis: "Why?"
Ea: "Because I want to build 3 little pig houses."

P.S. She's wearing her Princess Tiana tutu that she got at her friend, Jayci's birhtday party. She has been wearing it ever since.

Funny!

The other day I was cutting some pictures out for a FHE group that I'm in now and this is what Kylea said to me...
"I'm so impressed how you cut those princess. I'm just so impressed!"
She's such a sweetheart...always giving compliments every day. Oh and I'm always a different princess each day...Princess Tiana, Princess Olivia,...and then there's King Daddy and Prince Kade. Most of the time she's Princess Cinderelly...her favorite princess and movie. :) If you ever want to come to a royal tea party or royal ball, come on over to our house...we have several throughout the day! :)
P.S. Thanks for the fun dress up Gramma Cindy!

Kade the Brave

Kade got his 2 month shots last Friday and was such a brave little guy. He only cried for a few seconds and then he was over it. Here are his stats:
Weight: 11 lbs 6 oz (50 percentile)
Height: 24 inches (75 percentile)
HC: 15 1/4 inches (25 percentile)...not sure why Kylea sang about his "big head" in the last video...silly girl!

Kade is such a calm and happy baby. He always has a smile on his face. He's also very alert and wanting in on all the action, which there is always a lot of at our house. His reflux issues are getting better now...thank goodness! I've been on a dairy free diet for a month now---shoot me! I am such a huge fan of milk so this soy stuff just isn't working for me. It seems to be helping him feel better though so it's definitely worth it. I'm slowly adding a few dairy foods back into my diet to see if he can tolerate them. So far cheese and ice cream are okay...yahoo! There are definitely some major differences in boys and girls...mainly at diaper changing times. I've been peed on more times than I can count and every time makes me scream then laugh at myself because it scares me so bad. The other night, I got so freaked out that I fell over backwards...haha! I just never know when it's coming. :) Anyway...

We love having a sweet little boy and a sassy little girl in our family. I feel so blessed to be a mother of such beautiful, healthy children! And even though I don't always have everything together (like making a post and forgetting to post it), I wouldn't change my life for anything---and I mean that!
I sure do love my little Ea & baby Kade...oh yeah and Jon, I think you're pretty amazing too! ;)
