St. Louis Friends

Kylea and Kade (but especially Kade :) were excited when their friend, Hannah came to play.
They had fun playing with animal masks and being silly
together.  Hannah is one of the ways we persuade Kade to go to church since
he is not a fan of nursery, but he loves her! :)

The kids had fun making pizza with their pals, Miles and Ellie.  By the time they were done, they were all covered in flour, cheese and pizza sauce. :)

Kylea and Kade also have tons of fun when their friend, Cami, comes to play!  The weather wasn't too humid yet so we decided to go on an outdoor scavenger hunt. (Thanks Pinterest for all your amazing ideas!)

We had lots of fun this Spring making Smores with our firepit in the front yard.
We introduced this tasty campfire treat to our Brazilian friends, the Barbosas, and they are now hooked! :)

Easter

We celebrated Easter with our good friends,
the Barbosas and the Niedzwiedzkas,
including Kasia's sweet mother.  Lili made an amazing dinner,
as usual and the kids had fun eating their ice cream eggs
and chocolate bunnies
while the adults chowed down on Lili's famous berry tart.
We feel so blessed to have such great friends here!

More Easter...

After dinner, we went out for a glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt that was so much fun,
I think we'll make it a tradition.

The kids were so excited to open all the eggs and wear their cute, new crocheted hats from Kasia's mom.

We also did our traditional "You've Been Egged" to friends around the neighborhood.  It's so much fun leaving Easter eggs in their yards, knocking on their door and then hiding behind bushes and parked cars.  Kylea is crazy about it!

Even More Easter...

The kids were so excited when they found this note and nippled on carrot
from the Easter Bunny.

We also had another fun egg hunt with our friends, the Waldies, at their complex.
I think we had candy coming out of our ears by then, ha!  We're happy we got to spend this holiday with such amazing friends here in St. Louis.

Purina Farms

We took a trip out to Purina Farms to see all the animals and the kids loved it!  Kylea was brave enough to milk the cows and the kids loved petting the pigs and bunnies.

They even got to meet the Easter Bunny!
I just love this pic of Kylea with her friend, Isabela. :)
And of course, the trip wouldn't be complete without the dog show and a tractor ride.  We had lots of fun with all our friends there and Daddy too!

St. Patty's Day!

The kids woke up to a sneaky leprechaun trail and chased it downstairs to the laminated rainbow and pots of treats. Funny story about the laminated, rainbow hearts...so I laminated them last year because I was tired of cutting them out every year and Kylea actually noticed and was blown away that the silly leprechauns would use my laminator to laminate them, haha too funny! Anyway, I love Kylea's face when she saw the pot of treats.

Then we enjoyed a rainbow breakfast together. It was much better than last year's green breakfast. I made green eggs, pancakes and milk and they were hard to eat. There's just something about green foods for breakfast.
More about Easter to come...

Daddy Dentist visits Ea's school

Jon was invited to Kylea's class to teach the kids about dental health. Kylea was so excited to be the assistant and pass out toothbrushes and toothpaste to all her classmates and teachers. Kade had fun being there too. :)

Some Random Updates

Kylea can ride a bike with no training wheels now! It only took her and her friend, Isabela, about 2 days to figure it out and now they're outside every afternoon riding around and racing with their friends.

Kade loves doing art with Kylea and feels really proud of his work. Always saying, "I did it!" and "Look Mama!"

*This is why I love blogging ;) I can't figure out how to post his foot pic, sorry!
And excuse the horrifying pic, but this is Jon's foot after getting nailed with a hockey puck during a game. He thinks that it's either a fractured bone or a broken one. Poor guy! It must really hurt because after playing on it again, he decided that he won't be going to any more games til it heals and he doesn't miss hockey for anything.

Just clownin' around...

Orn, Kate, Me, Lili, Danica & Kasia
These girls make some pretty fabulous clowns don't you think!? ;)  Lili threw an amazing clown party for her daughter, Isabela, and we just had to join in on the fun.  Love these girls!

This past June we went to CA to visit Jon's family and while we were there, Kylea got her first real pedicure. She thought it was so cool and it was fun to go with all my sis-in-laws and cute, little niece. Love you girls!
