DIVA / TOM BOY

Kylea is turning into quite the little diva these days...with her purses, "fancy" hats, necklaces, and pretty dresses, but don't let that fool you...she'd rather be digging in the dirt, chasing squirrels and squishing ants then taking care of her babies. Just last week she busted her lip open 3 times and skinned both of her knees! She is fearless!

It's time for a sentimental post. :) Jon has been studying so much lately (like eat, sleep and breathe kind of studying) and yesterday he got a really great score on his practical...way to go babe! We love you and appreciate all that you do!
P.S. What a hunk! Sign me up for an appointment, haha!

GIRLS DAY OUT!

Last Friday I decided to have a Girls Day Out with Kylea. We were actually dressed and ready to go at 9 am (very rare). First stop was the library to celebrate National Library Week! Gotta have love for the library right! If it were up to Kylea, we would have stayed there the whole day, but it was lunch time so we headed over to Moe's to eat some mexican food. I even let Kylea have her very first taste of super watered down fruit punch (It was the most "healthy" of all the drink choices). I couldn't believe how well behaved she was. She giggled and ate her lunch and didn't even scream when we had to leave. Then, what would a Girls Day Out be without some shopping?...so we headed over to Payless to check out their new sandals. Of course, Kylea only wanted the Dora size 7 (she's a size 3-4) light-up sandals and not the cute ballet slippers that I had picked out for her. What is it with kids loving the most ridiculous shoes in the store? Sorry to those of you who like or have those sandals :), but hey they just aren't for me. Anyway, they didn't have any cute ones in her size so we headed next door to the Dollar Tree...Watch out, we're high rollers over here, ha! I let her choose one toy so she picked out a sparkly Eeyore kaleidoscope. She has a thing for balloons so she also ended up walking out of the store with a Dora balloon tied around her wrist. What a day! It was so nice to be able to hang out with my little munchkin and spoil her in a poor, dental student kind of way. :) Here's the treasured Dora balloon that goes everywhere.

FINALLY!

We've finally entered the blogging world. We still can't figure out how to upload our videos and make some of the pics bigger, but other than that I think we're finally getting the hang of it...enjoy!

CHEESE

After a day filled with messes, tantrums, no's and mine's, one of these smiles helps remind me why it's so worth it to be a mom and how blessed I am!

CULTURAL ARTS CENTER

This place is way cool. Kylea had so much fun making bead bracelets, painting and dancing with all the different musicians there. They offer a class for 2 and 3-year-olds called "Little Ballerinas" and it has Kylea's name written all over it. I can't wait to see her dance around in a little tutu. :)

Our little ar-teeest!
This girl would eat(well she actually does this), sleep and bathe (does this too!) with a balloon if she could...we just had to take a Dora balloon away from her tonight before she went to bed and she was absolutely crushed...poor thing.

CHILDREN'S MUSEUM

Okay...so this is another really fun place to go! Water tables, sand boxes, slides, puzzles, tree house, apple tree, grocery store, cars, stamps, art, blocks, dinosaurs,...let's just put it this way, Kylea was in heaven! We're planning on getting a family membership so we can go lots more. Thanks again to the Wolfs for inviting us! :)

Tucker and Kylea had fun digging up dinosaur fossils.
Even "big kids" have fun here!

TRIP TO WILLIAMSBURG

We went to Williamsburg with our good friends, The Wolfs, during Spring Break. Even though Kylea got sick the day we got there, we still managed to have lots of fun and she did too! She was so excited that she got to hang out with her buddy, Tucker and she loved seeing the horses too. There is a lot of great history out here in Virginia and we're excited to see more of it!
Checkin' out the history!

Cheez! It's rare that we get a pic of just the 2 of us so I had to post it.
Busted! They had a little too much fun in the hotel room. One of Kylea's favorite things to do now is to try and sneak into the bathroom, unroll the toilet paper, wipe her mouth with it and then of course, flush it. It's pretty funny! Does this mean she's ready for potty training?...I'm not sure I'm ready for it!
