Ward Halloween Party

We had lots of fun at the Ward Halloween Party on Saturday. Kylea wore her pink, fairy costume and ran around the gym like crazy. She loved all the excitement! The chili cook-off was delish and there were some really great costumes. Jon and I were sickies so we didn't dress up this year, but we wanted to be a hockey player (me) and an ice skater (Jon). Can't you just picture Jon in a tight, sequence outfit? Now that's hot! ;)

Halloween Art

Pumpkin die cuts, markers, chalk and stickers...she loved this one!
P.S. Check out her outfit...too funny! Sponge ghosts! Thanks for the stencils Mom! We added some googly eyes, cut them out and now they're hanging in our hallway. Fun and inexpensive decoration! Reading pumpkin books to inspire a torn art jack-o-lantern! :)

Happy 2nd Birthday Kylea!

1 year old!
2 years old!
We started the birthday celebrations with a Tinkerbell party on Friday morning with a few of Kylea's friends and then later that evening we had a family party with a Hawaiian BBQ for dinner. Kylea felt very special with all the attention and had a great time playing with her friends. The kids were really cute at the party and the cupcakes with lollipops were a big hit. :)
Thank you to everyone who came and for all the fun gifts!
That night we had a sleepover with the Wolfs and the next day we went to the pumpkin patch, Toys R Us and California Pizza Kitchen...what a day! It was lots of fun! The Wolfs even surprised us with a yummy breakfast! Thanks again you guys! ;) Cooper, Tucker & Kylea watching Baby Einstein during breakfast.
Thanks for the Halloween pj's Grammy & Grandpa Rucker!
Great Granny & Grandpa Rucker, thanks for the cute b-day card and $2! Love you both! Kylea loved getting a birthday balloon and crown at Toys R Us. She also got to check out the new Elmo Live and used her birthday coupon to buy Rosie the train. Her birthday pizza at CPK was yummy too!

Kylea, we love you so much!
We're so grateful that we were able to celebrate another fun year of your life! XOXO Mom & Dad

My worst nightmare came true today!

Kylea woke up from her nap yelling "Mommy yucky!" I thought I would find a bug in her crib, but to my horror I found poop instead. First I saw some smeared on the sheet so I thought that it had just leaked out, but then I looked at her and noticed that she was diaperless and soon found out that the damage was much worse. All I could do was gasp as I discovered that there was poop everywhere. I mean everywhere...on her clothes, blankets, stuffed animals, books! I guess all my gasping scared her so she started to scream as I lifted her out of her crib and headed toward the bathroom. After I hosed her off and got her dressed and calmed down, she looked at me and said (in the cutest, most innocent voice) "Sorry Mommy." After cleaning it all up, I thought to myself "How could such a nightmare (involving poop) turn into such a 'melt your heart' experience?" Kids...they'll do that to you! :)

Oregon, here we come...

Our flight to Oregon was actually better than I thought it'd be. A miracle happened on each of the 2 flights...there was one extra seat right next to me so Kylea didn't have to sit on my lap. Can I just say Hallelujah! She was so excited about being on an airplane and looking out the window. All the toys, books, treats,...I bought came in handy too. It was like an early Christmas, but hey whatever it takes, right! :) Then, the very next day we threw a bridal shower for my lil sister, Molly. The erotic glow-in-the-dark dice were a big hit....even Mom had to check them out, haha! Love ya sis! This is my "trying to not show braces" smile...um yeah, it doesn't really work! ;)

Stay tuned! There's more to come...
