Funny!

The other day I was cutting some pictures out for a FHE group that I'm in now and this is what Kylea said to me...
"I'm so impressed how you cut those princess. I'm just so impressed!"
She's such a sweetheart...always giving compliments every day. Oh and I'm always a different princess each day...Princess Tiana, Princess Olivia,...and then there's King Daddy and Prince Kade. Most of the time she's Princess Cinderelly...her favorite princess and movie. :) If you ever want to come to a royal tea party or royal ball, come on over to our house...we have several throughout the day! :)
P.S. Thanks for the fun dress up Gramma Cindy!

Kade the Brave

Kade got his 2 month shots last Friday and was such a brave little guy. He only cried for a few seconds and then he was over it. Here are his stats:
Weight: 11 lbs 6 oz (50 percentile)
Height: 24 inches (75 percentile)
HC: 15 1/4 inches (25 percentile)...not sure why Kylea sang about his "big head" in the last video...silly girl!

Kade is such a calm and happy baby. He always has a smile on his face. He's also very alert and wanting in on all the action, which there is always a lot of at our house. His reflux issues are getting better now...thank goodness! I've been on a dairy free diet for a month now---shoot me! I am such a huge fan of milk so this soy stuff just isn't working for me. It seems to be helping him feel better though so it's definitely worth it. I'm slowly adding a few dairy foods back into my diet to see if he can tolerate them. So far cheese and ice cream are okay...yahoo! There are definitely some major differences in boys and girls...mainly at diaper changing times. I've been peed on more times than I can count and every time makes me scream then laugh at myself because it scares me so bad. The other night, I got so freaked out that I fell over backwards...haha! I just never know when it's coming. :) Anyway...

We love having a sweet little boy and a sassy little girl in our family. I feel so blessed to be a mother of such beautiful, healthy children! And even though I don't always have everything together (like making a post and forgetting to post it), I wouldn't change my life for anything---and I mean that!
I sure do love my little Ea & baby Kade...oh yeah and Jon, I think you're pretty amazing too! ;)

Our Little Sunbeam

Kylea got in the car after church today and said "My brain hurts!" Jon asked why and she said, "Because I was learning for a long time." Haha! She is really loving primary and her Sunbeam class. I can't believe she's already a little sunbeam! When she got home she wanted to play "church" and pretended to be Sister Dalling (one of her teachers).

Rucker Family of 4

Okay, seriously...I just found this draft from before Christmas and I never even posted it! I am a total space head these days! Well, better late than never I guess. I'm still working on posting life in 2009...I guess that just means my life is busy and not boring, right! ;)

Our first pic with Kade!

We left for the hospital on Friday morning with no snow and this was what Jon came home to that evening. He got snowed in the next day and got our Camry stuck when he tried to venture out to Walmart to buy Kylea snow boots and visit me at the hospital. Luckily a friend helped him get the car out and he was able to come see me & Kade later on that day with Kylea. They got stuck 2 more times on the ride home and even went down a one way street the wrong way! Jon said he could barely see anything because it was like a crazy blizzard.

Kylea is the best big sister ever! She fell in love with Kade the moment she saw him and has been taking care of him ever since. She helps with diaper changes and binkie holding and gives lots of loves.

Notice the black boots! Jon was finally able to make it to Walmart when the roads were cleared and found the only pair of boots left in the children's section...2 sizes too big, but hey they keep her feet dry! :) It's almost a week later and the snow hasn't melted so we're enjoying a white Christmas.Merry Christmas everyone! We love you!

Ea & Baby Kade

Kylea loves to make up her own songs now using the tunes from other songs. The other day she called Jon from upstairs singing, "Oh Daddy Dad, oh Daddy Dad" (the tune of "Oh Christmas Tree")...she cracks us up. And I guess she has a baby sister now...? She likes being a big sister, but she's still adjusting to sharing the spotlight. Kade gets lots of "love" whether he likes it or not. Luckily she makes him smile most of the time. :)
