November Update

Okay so I'm way behind with blogging because I took a long break for the holidays, but here's some more news from November...
Jon's first real hockey game...The Richmond Renegades vs. The Fayetteville Fireantz. I grew up going to hockey games, but Jon had never been to one so he was stoked when his friend gave us some tickets to the game. We decided to take Kylea with us even though it was way past her bedtime and she loved it (even though she got a little sassy in the pic)! It was an awesome game with an overtime and a shoot out ending in victory for the Renegades!

More hockey...Jon & Aaron after practice.

Also in November...We'd wake up to Kylea screaming in the morning because she would pull herself up on the crib rail with one leg over and then she'd be stuck teetering on the rail (scary!)...so we decided to convert the crib into a toddler bed.

(Mom, recognize the ballerina doll she's sleeping with in the pic above? It's the one you made for me when I was little:)
Kylea moved from her crib to the toddler bed with no problem for the first 2 weeks. We took her to Target and she picked out poka dot sheets with a matching Hello Kitty blanket. She was so excited to go to sleep every night until...

Early December when she decided that she wanted nothing to do with her big girl bed and wanted to sleep on the glider/ottoman instead(weird, we know!).

When we came back from vacation in January, we decided to take the glider out of her room hoping that she would be forced to move back to her toddler bed, but she still refused and migrated to the floor (where she remains at the present).

I bought a Hello Kitty comforter that she sleeps on so the floor isn't as hard, but still what is this girl thinkin'? Hopefully she'll decide that her big girl bed is cool again and start sleeping on it...we shall see. My favorite part of this whole transition has been how Kylea greets us in the morning. She comes into our room, happy as can be, right up to my side of the bed and says "Good Morning Mommy!" :)

Yay for November updates in February!

I still can't believe that little girl and her sleeping habits. She is definitely a free spirit and no one is going to tell her what to do! Such a cutie.

I don't think I would be comfortable in most of those sleeping arrangements, but kids are tough. Miss you!

Ohhh Kylea you are a nut :) I'm glad you enjoy the bedside wake ups because Summer used to do those and it was SO creepy! (at 5:30 am I feel someone touching my face and a rapist "Hiiiiiii mom.")
